Ever since I rescued my first dog, Vernon, from the streets of LA seven years ago, I've been promoting #AdoptDontShop.
One day in 2016, I had an idea to put the phrase "adopt shop 'til you drop" on a T-shirt. I asked Connie, my amazingly talented designer friend, if she'd help design something. She agreed and then surprised me with it as a birthday gift! The original artwork is hanging in my and my hubby's dog-themed guest bathroom to this day.
Unfortunately, things never got past this point. I had wanted to print on eco-friendly tees but discovered that it wasn't going to be very cost effective to do so. Not wanting to charge customers an arm and a leg just for a T-shirt, I scrapped the idea altogether.
A couple of years later, while Connie and I were out with friends, the idea came up again. Connie excitedly asked, "Why don't we make pins?!" "OK!" I replied. We officially teamed up, and the rest is history.
We hope to shine a light on animal rescue issues, all with an unfurgettable flair. ;o)
